Queen Victoria Gardens
Located across the road from the Arts Centre is the Queen Victoria Gardens.

Known for the large Floral Clock it also contailns statues of King Edward VII, Queen Victoria and the Lady Janet Clarke Rotunda.  The gardens also contain garden beds, landscaped lawns, rose gardens, rockeries larg trees and a delightful man made pond and waterfall. This garden’s character differs from the other parks in the King’s Domain with a larger emphasis on floral displays and flower beds set in manicured lawns.

The main feature of the gardens is a superb floral clock with 7000 flowering and bedding plants located in front of the Kings memorial. The plants are changed twice yearly. The clock was given to the City of Melbourne in 1966 as a decorative timepiece by a group of Swiss watchmakers.

Artworks include Paul Montfords Water Nymph, which is set in the smaller pond, and two marble busts by Theodore Fink. A contemporary piece by The Genie, a sculpture designed for children to touch and play on.

The pathway between the lake and Rose Garden provides magnificent views to the city with park benches for respite.
