Er its me, Robert Luxford. I am a graphic designer who has lived at 88 Millswyn Street for over 14 years. During those years I have enjoyed the delightful mix of nature and culture this area contains. Possibly attracting some minor notoriety for the "monkey window" I am constantly surprised by the range of talented and industrious people that surround us. This idea is my way of facilitating awareness of the individuals, businesses and not for profit orgainsations in and surrounding our community. It may prove to be a little buffer in troubled times ahead. My design company is called Vivid Communications. Why do we need to have a “Domain South Yarra” |

South Yarra spans two city councils, the City of Melbourne and the City of Stonnington. The dividing line is Punt Road. According to the city of Melbourne the area of South Yarra west of Punt Road is regarded as belonging to its “St Klida Road precinct”. There are very distinct differences in the community culture belonging to the park-bound pocket of South Yarra and the hustle of St Kilda Road’s business district. For the residents of South Yarra belonging to the City of Melbourne, I thought it time an identity was given to this area to assist in defining the character of our park life at the city‘s doorstep. |
